高考英語詞匯：ahead的用法

　　1. 是副詞，不要把它誤認為是名詞：
　　正：There’s danger ahead. 前面有危險。
　　誤：There’s danger in [at] ahead.
　　2. 主要用作狀語，有時也用作后置定語或表語：
　　The road aheadwas full of sheep. 前面的路上全是羊。
　　Our team is ahead by three runs. 我們隊領先3分。
　　3. 用于 ahead of, 注意以下用法：
　　(1) 指時間或空間的“在…之前”：
　　He is always ahead of theage. 他總是走在時代的前面。
　　He left one day ahead of me. 他比我早走一天。
　　Ahead of us is a river. 我們前面是一條河。
　　(2) 表示“比…強 (高)” (主要用作表語)：
　　He’s ahead of me inEnglish. 他的英語比我強。
　　He is two classes ahead of me. 他比我高兩班。
　　(3) 用于 ahead of time, 意為“提前”或“提早”：
　　The work was done ahead of time. 工作提前完成了。
　　He didn’t want go thereahead of time. 他不想提前去那兒。
　　有時用于 ahead of schedule：
　　He finished his job ahead ofschedule. 他提前完成了工作。
　　4. 用于 go ahead, 注意以下用法：
　　(1) 表示同意或允許，意為“說吧”、“做吧”：
　　A：May I start?我可以開始了嗎?
　　B：Yes, go ahead. 好，開始吧。
　　A：Will you do mea favour? 請你幫個忙好嗎?
　　B：Go ahead. 說吧。
　　A：Do you mindif I smoke? 我抽煙你介意嗎?
　　B：No, go ahead. 不介意，你抽吧。
　　(2) 表示繼續做某事，意為“繼續…吧”：
　　Go ahead, we are alllistening. 繼續講吧，我們都在聽呢!
　　A：Don’t interrupt me whenI am explaining the problems to you. 我在給你們解釋這些問題時，請不要打斷的話。
　　B：All right, go ahead. 好，說下去吧。
