圣火采集：torch lighting

　　A backup plan was successfully rehearsed yesterday to ensure that bad weather does not dampen the torch-lighting ceremony of the Beijing Olympics in ancient Olympia, the birthplace of the Games, today.
　　為保證今天在奧運會的發(fā)祥地古奧林匹亞進行的北京奧運會圣火采集儀式不會被糟糕的天氣所破壞，點火備用方案于昨天成功彩排。
　　該報道中，torch-lighting 就是“火炬點火”或者“圣火采集”的意思，也可譯成 flame-lighting。The torch-lighting ceremony of the Beijing Olympics就是“北京奧運會圣火采集儀式”。如果要表達“點燃火炬”的意思，可以用light the torch，light用作動詞的時候，就是“點燃，變亮”的意思。
　　例如：
