　　中國人民大學是中國共產黨親手創辦的第一所新型大學。中國人民大學坐落在北京，是中國人文社科科學領域最知名的大學。

　　中國人民大學在2009年中國教育部的學科評估中，有以下7個學科排名全國第一：【理論經濟學】【應用經濟學】【法學】【社會學】【政治學】【馬克思主義理論】【新聞傳播學】;此外，【哲學】和【圖書館、情報與檔案管理學】排名全國第二，【管理學】排名全國第三。排名第1的學科在全國人文社會科學領域總數第一。

　　Renmin University of China is the first modern university founded by People’s Republic of China. Located in Beijing, RUC is the most famous university in China among humanities and social sciences area.

　　In 2009’s governmental appraisal of key disciplines of national institutions of higher education organized by the Ministry of Education, seven disciplines of the RUC rank top among all national institutions of higher education in the Humanities and Social Sciences. These disciplines are: Theoretical Economics; Applied Economics; Law; Sociology; Journalism and Communication; Political Science; Marxism Theory.
