考研詞組突破(三) carry的用法：carry(carried carried) carry away carry forward carry off carry on carry out carry over carry through carry away 使入迷，陶醉 eg: He was carried away by the music 音樂使他入迷 carry forward 推進 carry off 獲得(獎賞)，拿走，奪走(生命) eg: She carried off the first prize. 她獲得了頭獎 eg: The plague has carried off many children. 這場瘟疫奪走了許多孩子的生命 carry on 1)繼續下去，堅持下去 2)從事，經營 eg: Without telephone it would be impossible to carry on functions of every business operation in the whole country. 要是沒有電話，全國所有的商業運作都無法繼續 eg: Henry wants to carry on a business himself 亨利打算自己經營一起買賣 carry out 執行，貫徹，完成，實現 eg: He failed to carry out some of the provisions of the contract,and now he has to answer for the consquences. 他未能兌現合同上的一些條款，所以現在他必須對結果負責 carry over (使)繼續下去，將...延后 carry through 1)實現，完成，堅持下去 2)使度過困難(或麻煩等) eg: He carried through the work 他完成了那項工作 eg: My determination carried me through the difficulties. 我的決心使我渡過了難關 |
