北京君誠(chéng)學(xué)校為學(xué)前班至十二年級(jí)的學(xué)生都提供了豐富的科學(xué)課程。君誠(chéng)的課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)根據(jù)美國(guó)的下一代科學(xué)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)(Next Generation Science Standards)或NGSS而設(shè)定。教師會(huì)建立以科學(xué)探究為基礎(chǔ)的課程,并制定適當(dāng)?shù)哪繕?biāo),以加強(qiáng)學(xué)生對(duì)于科學(xué)原理和技能的學(xué)習(xí)。低年級(jí)的學(xué)生會(huì)有充足的時(shí)間來獲取科學(xué)基礎(chǔ)的概念,并開始自行探索世界。
SIBS offers a robust science experience from KG to grade 12. Our guiding standards are drawn from Next Generation Science Standards or NGSS from the United States. Teachers are encouraged to build inquiry-based learning experiences with appropriate targets to enhance the learning of science principles and skills. Early childhood students have adequate time built into their days to explore basic science concepts and begin to investigate the world around them.
學(xué)前班至五年級(jí)的教師們使用的是Reading Street系列的課程和書籍。隨著君誠(chéng)在逐步實(shí)施PYP(IB課程的小學(xué)階段)的課程內(nèi)容,教師們將參與并重新編寫IB課程體系PYP階段的單元課程,所需的教學(xué)資源在美國(guó)和中國(guó)都可以被找到。小學(xué)的學(xué)生需要大量的資料來支持他們對(duì)于科學(xué)的探索。從四年級(jí)開始,學(xué)生就會(huì)在教師引導(dǎo)下,正式接觸1對(duì)1的電腦程序,該計(jì)劃支持學(xué)生進(jìn)行科技研究,以及探索電子電路和工程學(xué)。君誠(chéng)學(xué)校中學(xué)部也開設(shè)了STEM課程,學(xué)生可以開始嘗試編程以及一些基礎(chǔ)的操作,例如操縱機(jī)器人和無人機(jī)等等。
KG3 - Grade 5 teachers use a Reading Street series in order to deliver some of the material. However, as the school moves towards PYP units of inquiry, teachers will be engaged in writing units with a PYP framework for IB implementation. In the interim, resources that are required are found in the US and within China. Students in ES utilize a large range of material to support them in their scientific quest within the classroom. Currently, grade 4 is piloting a 1 v 1 laptop program that has allowed students to use these devices to support investigation and electronic circuitry and engineering. This will be essential as we move forward in establishing our STEM program in Middle School. Students experiment with programming and beginning to establish the basic levels to manipulate devices such as robots and drones.
STEM課程是君誠(chéng)學(xué)校中學(xué)部的發(fā)展重點(diǎn),我們的目標(biāo)是開設(shè)一個(gè)基本的綜合科學(xué)課程。學(xué)校理科教師團(tuán)隊(duì)一直在探索如何在未來的兩到三年內(nèi)建立MYP課程(IB課程的初中階段),努力為十年級(jí)學(xué)生順利完成DP課程(IB課程的高中階段)的過渡做好準(zhǔn)備。
Middle School employees a basic integrated science program with an emphasis on STEM. Our science department has been exploring how to establish MYP over the next 2-3 years. Our teachers are working hard to establish understandings in this area in hopes that students will enter grade 10 ready to successfully complete DP science courses. 君誠(chéng)高中部擁有著寬敞的現(xiàn)代化的實(shí)驗(yàn)室,十分適合開設(shè)IBDP課程。君誠(chéng)已經(jīng)為建設(shè)北京的實(shí)驗(yàn)室設(shè)施投入了大量資源。在君誠(chéng)任教的老師都是在國(guó)際學(xué)校任教多年的經(jīng)驗(yàn)豐富的優(yōu)秀教師。他們?cè)趨f(xié)同工作,為君誠(chéng)學(xué)子提供的學(xué)習(xí)體驗(yàn)。 SIBS High School science labs are modern, spacious and fitting for successful courses for the IB DP. SIBS has dedicated a great deal of resources to state of the art lab facilities. Our teachers are experienced international school science teachers who are working collaboratively to support the best educational practices regarding science instruction.
