　　Television, as one medium of communication, contributes to the popularity of talent shows. Young faces conveying acute disappointment or even overwhelming joy might flash across the screen immediately upon you turning on the TV.  And talent shows on TV have become a hot topic.  Personally, I think the advantages of talent shows on TV outweigh its disadvantages.

　　Even though there are still quite a few people who regard talent shows on TV as meaningless, a waste of time and a threat to intelligence, the advantages of the shows are obvious to some people. For one thing, in terms of business, the increasing popularity of talent shows has helped the channels in generating huge revenues by way of advertising and promotions. For another, talent show also bring great pleasure and excitement to viewers’ lives. We often see young and old alike being glued to their TV sets afraid of missing the next wave of emotions.

　　Talent shows serve to enrich our life, making us relaxed and excited at the same time. Thus there is great sense in keeping and encouraging them.
