【考例2】 We wanted to get home before

[考查目標] 此題主要考查四個短語的用法。
[答案與解析] B make out 弄明白;turn oat 結果是，證
明是;go on 繼續進行;come up 上來，過來，來吧。本句
話意思是“我們希望在天黑前到家，但是結果并不像計
劃的那樣”。
【考例3】The forest guards often find camp-
fires that have not been ____ completely.

[考查目標] 此題主要考查 turn 與 put 構成的短語的用
法。
[答案與解析] B turn down關小。調低，拒絕。轉入;
turn over 翻轉，移交，營業額達……;put out 撲滅;put
away 收拾，整理，本句話意思是“森林看護人員經常
發現野營的火沒有完全被撲滅”。
