黑利伯瑞學(xué)生在2018“希望之星”天津英語賽區(qū)得傲人成績

　　Tianjin Haileybury International School has always paid attention to the teaching and learning of English in the school. We also continually look to further develop and improve in this area. In the CCTV Star of Outlook Tianjin Conference Finals which were held on the 12th of May, we are proud to announce that Jinny Guo (Grade 4) and Hulk Zhang (Grade 3) greatly impressed on the day and have been awarded special level prizes. These two students arealso eligible to enter the National CCTV Finals. Our other participants were also awarded Tianjin first place prizes. They include Penelope Weng (Grade 5), Zac Qu (Grade 2), Jennifer Sun (Grade 2), Donna Li (Grade 2) and Benny Liu (Grade2).

　　天津黑利伯瑞國際學(xué)校一直以來注重學(xué)生英語學(xué)習(xí)水平的提高與綜合素質(zhì)的發(fā)展。在本次中央電視臺“希望之星”英語風(fēng)采大賽天津賽區(qū)總決賽中，來黑利伯瑞國際學(xué)校3年級的張梵智皓和來自4年級的郭津彤兩位同學(xué)包攬了天津賽區(qū)總決賽1-3年級小低組和4-6年級小高組兩個組別的特等獎名。除此之外，我校參賽的翁紫暄，屈梓焱，孫沚菲，李若同，劉倍寧同學(xué)獲得天津賽區(qū)一等獎的好成績。

　　Haileybury International School, Tianjin, is proud to announcethat Zheng Yu Ke won the first prize of the CCTV Star of Outlook English Junior High School Competition, held on May 12 at the Bank of China Conference Centre in Tianjin. Well done Yu Ke Zheng.

　　初中組比賽也傳來捷報，天津黑利伯瑞國際學(xué)校的鄭宇軻同學(xué)獲得了中央電視臺“希望之星”英語風(fēng)采大賽天津賽區(qū)總決賽初中組一等獎。鄭宇軻同學(xué)，表現(xiàn)真棒!

　　The students' outstanding achievements are inseparable from the careful cultivation and hard work of our teachers as well as the positive learning atmosphere of the school. We adhere to the principle that ‘Every student matters every day’ and under the model of "1+X", the school values extra-curricular activities such as English clubs, English sports and English competitions on top of our regular English program. Our teaching and learning structures such as morning reading and our buddy reading program have also created a positive English learning environment for our students.

　　我們的學(xué)生取得這樣優(yōu)異的成績背后離不開學(xué)校教師的精心培育以及良好的學(xué)習(xí)氛圍。天津黑利伯瑞國際學(xué)校小學(xué)部秉承著“每個孩子的每都至關(guān)重要”的百年育人理念，在日常的小學(xué)“1+X”的課程體系下，學(xué)校除了對基本文化課程的教授外，更加注重了英語的教學(xué)活動。英語晨讀，英語伙伴閱讀，英語體育俱樂部，英語比賽等豐富多彩的英語活動都為孩子們學(xué)習(xí)英語創(chuàng)造了良好的條件。

　　Students who stand out are rarely alone in their achievements.This positive and rewarding experience for him is the result of his own dedication and persistence, his parent’s encouragement and support along with the hard work and support of the Middle School teachers and administration.Preparations for the competition started in after-school activities inmid-March.

　　學(xué)生今天獲得的成就源于各方的努力和支持，他們并不是單槍匹馬地去比賽。他們?nèi)〉玫膬?yōu)異成績和積極的成長體驗，源于他們自己對成功的不懈追求，源于他們父母的鼓勵與支持，以及黑利伯瑞整個初中教學(xué)團(tuán)隊和管理團(tuán)隊的辛勤工作和保障，老師們從3月中旬就在每天的活動課結(jié)束后幫助學(xué)生們準(zhǔn)備比賽。

　　Oral presentations and reading are a major component in theJunior School English as a Second Language Programme where students work withinternational and bilingual teachers for more than 1/3 of their classes as wellas participate in after-school activities at least once a week. For assemblies, students are given many opportunities to exhibit their talents where speakingis a major component.

　　口語表達(dá)和閱讀是初中英語教學(xué)的一個重要組成部分，學(xué)生每周很多機(jī)會和外教老師或雙語教師在每天課外活動課后練習(xí)英文口語和閱讀。特別是在黑利伯瑞初中部的集會活動中，學(xué)生有很多機(jī)會展示他們的天賦，英文演講是集會最重要的的組成部分。

　　The first round of the CCTV competition took place in March and throughthe combined hard work of students and teachers which included countless hoursof preparation and mock speech activities, we have created an excellent recipefor success.

　　從三月份的中央電視臺“希望之星”英語風(fēng)采大賽的初賽起，外教老師們就為孩子們進(jìn)行了無數(shù)次輔導(dǎo)和模擬問答，通過學(xué)生和教師們的共同努力，終于取得了今天的優(yōu)異成績。接下來，我們會為全國比賽做最充分的準(zhǔn)備。

　　We hope all our students will excel in their English through theproductive and positive English learning environment at Haileybury. Our goal isthat all students will develop into global citizens who have an internationa loutlook. Congratulations to all our participants!
