    pick sth. out ：挑選。 pick out 是短語動詞。另外我們還可以說pick out
sth.

    2. You go out and get a drink of water at the fountain. 你可以出去
到飲水器那兒喝點水。

    fountain：本意是“泉水”，也指街道或公園里供行人飲水的流水龍頭。一
般較大的辦公室常在走道里設一飲水器，也稱 fountain 或 water-cooler.

    3. I used to be that way when I was her age.我過去像她那么大時也是
那樣的。

    used to be（do）：過去習慣于。指過去的習慣動作或狀態，而常意味著現
在已不這樣了。口語中的發音為yoosta. 注意不要將其和be used to（doing ）

    something 混淆，后者是表示對某事物習以為常。

    4. I have a call to make. 我得打個電話。have a call to make 是打電
話的另一種表達方式。

    5. Sam， get Mr. Levine at Toytown Stores on the telephone for me ，
