    Philip： He's the Dean of Admissions for the University of Michigan. Grandpa： And it turns out he's a classmate of Philip's. Philip： We were both on the tennis team. Robbie： Great！

    Philip： It is great. He's going to be in New York tomorrow to interview applicants for admission. Grandpa： And he's agreed to fit you into his schedule.

    interview： 面談，面試。美國沒有全國統一的大學入學考試，各所大學或學院都有自己的招生要求。多數院校要求學生提出SAT（Scholastic Achievement Test學業成就測驗）等類似高中會考的成績，高中生可參加數次測驗，以較優成績提出申請。在決定是否錄取一名學生時，學校不但考慮學生的中學成績，也要看上述考試成績。此外，有些院校還要求面試（interview）。

    applicants： 這里指申請入學的人。
