  家長(zhǎng)們,孩子的幼小銜接,您準(zhǔn)備好了嗎?

   Parents,are you ready for the Primary school ?

  做好入學(xué)準(zhǔn)備的關(guān)鍵因素:

  考慮到孩子們幼小銜接的重要性,在幼小銜接過(guò)程中孩子需要培養(yǎng)哪些基礎(chǔ)的技能呢?學(xué)校應(yīng)該設(shè)立怎樣的課程幫助孩子們培養(yǎng)這些技能從而使他們將來(lái)可以取得成功呢?

  Key issues regarding readiness:

  Given the importance to get our children to be ready for their elementary education, what are the essential skills for them to develop during their transition between preschool and elementary school? And what kind of school program should be created to foster such skills to maximize their success in the future?

  其中關(guān)鍵我們必須清楚小學(xué)與幼兒園有以下幾點(diǎn)不同:

  Key we must clear the elementary school and kindergarten has the following different:

  1--生活節(jié)奏不同the pace of life is different

  2--學(xué)習(xí)方式不同studies in a different way

  3--人際關(guān)系不同relationships are different

  4--期望水平不同different desired level

  有些家長(zhǎng)認(rèn)為孩子升入小學(xué)應(yīng)該培養(yǎng)更多的學(xué)習(xí)技能(例如:閱讀和寫(xiě)作)。當(dāng)然,這些很有價(jià)值,但是對(duì)于我們的孩子而言:

  更重要的是擁有良好的社交技能,認(rèn)知能力和體能,為自己成為自信的學(xué)習(xí)者,能夠終身學(xué)習(xí)打下基礎(chǔ)。

  Some parents may believe that children require more academic skills (e.g. reading and writing skills) for them to be prepared for elementary education. While these skills have its value,

  it is more important for our children to have good(1) social skills, (2) cognitive skills and (3) physical skills) as a confident learner to set the foundations for a lifetime of learning !

  泰然學(xué)校順暢的幼小銜接會(huì)做到:

  Our effective transition from pre-school into elementary school will:

  1:讓孩子理解并體驗(yàn)到學(xué)校是一個(gè)安全的,受保護(hù)的,開(kāi)心的場(chǎng)所。Give children a positive understanding and experience of school as a safe, secure and enjoyable place

  2:本著學(xué)校多元智能的理念,承認(rèn)每個(gè)孩子都有個(gè)體的需要,興趣和技能。Acknowledge that children have individual needs, interests and skills, coming from our school philosophy in multiple intelligence theory.

  3:允許和鼓勵(lì)孩子,學(xué)校和家長(zhǎng)之間積極地溝通Allow and encourage positive communication between children and our school educators and their families

  4:在老師和孩子之間建立有感應(yīng)的,積極的關(guān)系To build responsive, positive relationships between children and their carers

  5:依照學(xué)生的進(jìn)度來(lái)實(shí)施教學(xué)(例如:課程設(shè)置考慮該年齡段孩子的注意力可持續(xù)的時(shí)間)Deliver the curriculum at the children’s pace (e.g. to cater for children’s attention span for this age group)

  6:在學(xué)生可以積極選擇參與不同的學(xué)習(xí)站的時(shí)候,提供學(xué)生自由選擇的機(jī)會(huì)(比如,閱讀,數(shù)字,英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)音,藝術(shù))Provide free choice time where children can actively choose to participate in a variety of learning stations (e.g. reading, numeracy, English phonics, arts)

  7:提供多種形式的有組織的和自由的教學(xué)活動(dòng)以滿足學(xué)生需要Provide a diversified form of structure and unstructured teaching and learning activities to suit our students’ needs

  8:引導(dǎo)學(xué)生逐漸適應(yīng)有組織的,正式的課堂學(xué)習(xí)Guide our children gradually towards their adjustment in structured and formal classroom learning

  9:英語(yǔ)為母語(yǔ)的有經(jīng)驗(yàn)有資質(zhì)的小學(xué)老師教授我們孩子國(guó)際課程Experienced and qualified elementary teachers (from native English speaking countries) to teach our children through international model of education

  10:有經(jīng)驗(yàn)有資質(zhì)的國(guó)內(nèi)小學(xué)老師輔助孩子從文化和語(yǔ)言上適應(yīng)國(guó)際課程Experienced and qualified Chinese elementary teachers to assist our children to adjust into our international program culturally and linguistically

  11:基于美國(guó)通用教學(xué)大綱的美式幼兒園課程,在有效的ESL課程的輔助下,為孩子建立良好的英語(yǔ)基礎(chǔ)An outstanding Americanized kindergarten curriculum based on Common Core States Standards, supported by an effective ESL program to build English foundations for our children
