2014年考研英語被動語態翻譯技巧

　　鑒于考研英語翻譯在考生心目中的難點印象，特別整理了被動語態的解題思路例文，希望能夠幫考生們緩解對翻譯的畏懼心理。

　　一、用句子的另一部分作主語：

　　A new kind of substance has been found by the scientific workers。

　　分析：該句把原文by短語譯成主語。

　　科學工作者已經發現了一種新物質。

　　The numerical data concerned are provided in the last part of the paper。

　　分析：該句把原文的狀語in the last part of the paper譯成主語。

　　論文的比較后一部分提供了有關的數據資料。

　　They were seen repairing the machine。

　　分析：該句用補充行為者作主語。

　　參考譯文有人看見他們在修理機器。

　　二、譯成漢語主動句

　　保存原文主語

　　The meeting is scheduled for April 6th。

　　會議定于四月六日舉行。

　　Water can be changed from a liquid into a solid。

　　水能從液體變成固體。

　　When rust is formed ， a chemical change has taken place。

　　當銹形成的時候，就發生了化學變化。

　　增加主語

　　The issue has not yet been thoroughly explored。

　　人們對這一問題迄今尚未進行過徹底的探索。

　　She was seen to enter the building about the time the crime was committed。

　　有人看見她大致在案發時進入了那座建筑物。

　　What we say here will not be long remembered， but what we do here can change the world。

　　我們在這里所講的話，人們不會長久記住。然而我們在這兒所做的事，卻能改變世界。

　　三、譯成漢語無主句

　　Measures have been taken to prevent the epidemic from spreading quickly。

　　已經采取了措施來防止這種流行病迅速蔓延。

　　Water can be shown as containing impurities。

　　可以證明，水含有雜質。

　　The unpleasant noise must be immediately put an end。

　　必須全部停止這種討厭的噪聲。

　　The decision to attack was not taken lightly。

　　進攻的決定不是輕易作出的。

　　Printing was introduced into Europe from China。

　　印刷術是從中國傳入歐洲的。

　　The manuscript was sent to the printer in London a few weeks before the French revolution。

　　手稿是在法國革命前幾周寄往倫敦付印的。

　　The credit system in America was first adopted by Harvard University in 1872.

　　美國的學分制是1872年在哈佛大學首先實施的。

　　四、把謂語部分譯成是…結構的漢語判斷句。

　　Insectivorous plants and some touch_sensitive plants are the examples found earlier。

　　食蟲植物和某些觸敏植物是較早發現的例子。

　　Because the air and water in Biosphere_II are recycled，the residents have to take special pains to keep everything pure。

　　由于生物圈2號中的空氣和水是循環的，因此，居民們必須特別小心，使一切東西都保持純潔。

　　The element of helium was first found in the sun。

　　氦元素比較初是在太陽里發現的。
