畢業(yè)"非賣品" 滿載大學生活的珍貴記憶

    “English textbook， 5 yuan. Electric fan， 10 yuan.” College campuses will be turned into flea markets during graduation. Graduates-to-be set up stands to bargain away those belongings which are difficult to carry back home or to their rented houses. But every student has something which is labeled “Not For Sale”， even though it‘s heavy to carry or it takes up space. The “Not For Sale” belongings carry students’ precious memories of campus life.“英語課本5元。電風扇10元。”每年的畢業(yè)季，大學校園都會變身成跳蚤市場，即將離校的畢業(yè)生們擺起地攤，低價出售那些無法搬回家里或租住地的個人物品。但每位同學都有一些標有“非賣品”的東西，盡管它們難以攜帶，或很占空間。但這些非賣品裝載了他們校園生活的珍貴回憶。

    Xu Jingxi， 21st Century staff， talked to three graduates-to-be. They shared the stories behind their “Not For Sale” belongings.來自《二十一世紀英文報》的許靖烯采訪了三位即將走出校門的畢業(yè)生，并分享了他們各自的“非賣品”背后的故事。

    Yu Cong， 22， engineering， Tianjin University of Science and Technology于聰（音譯），22歲，畢業(yè)于天津科技大學工程技術專業(yè)。

    I have a treasure box containing all the items I made by hand in class， including a radio and voltmeter.我有一個百寶箱，裝滿了自己在課堂上手工制作的物件，比如收音機和電壓表。

    Textbooks of theory， instruction handouts and experiment reports have been either sold or given to students in lower grades. But this treasure box is definitely “Not For Sale”。 It‘s proof that I have acquired knowledge and skills and am able to put them into practical use.那些理論課本、講義教材和實驗報告有些賣了，有些送給了低年級同學。但是這個百寶箱絕對是“非賣品”，它是我所掌握的知識和技能的證明，也是我學以致用的證明。

    As an engineering student， it was more exciting and satisfying when my radio received FM signals than when I got all the answers right in paper tests. I had spent days and nights in labs and dorms putting all the tiny radio parts together.作為一名工程技術專業(yè)的學生來說，與測驗拿滿分相比，自己動手制作的收音機能收到調頻信號更令人興奮和滿足。我曾經不分晝夜地埋頭于實驗室和寢室組裝收音機的微型零件。

    Another “Not For Sale” item is my pile of China Daily newspapers. It‘s not just a symbol of my English study， but also a symbol of a broadened horizon.另一件“非賣品”是我的那疊《中國日報》，它不僅是我學習英語的象征，也是我開闊視野的見證。

    I have come from my small hometown city Jingdezhen， where you cannot see China Daily on newspaper stands， to metropolitan Tianjin.我來自景德鎮(zhèn)這個小城鎮(zhèn)，不像在大城市天津，那里的書報攤買不到《中國日報》。

    Like many other students， my eyes have been open during my college years. I met peers from all over the country， and I volunteered at the Davos forum.像其他許多同學一樣，大學時光開闊了我的視野，我遇見了來自全國各地的朋友，還在達沃斯論壇做過志愿者。

    Du Mengzhen， 22， English， Hunan University杜夢珍（音譯），22歲，畢業(yè)于湖南大學英語專業(yè)。

    While many college students complain about boring dorm life， I may miss it most after graduation. My friendship with roommates added spice to dorm life.也許很多大學生會抱怨無聊的寢室生活，但這或許是我畢業(yè)后最懷念的。我和室友們的情誼為宿舍生活增添了樂趣。

    I have a pile of notebooks which are “Not For Sale”。 They are not notes I took in class， but beauty tips that I worked out with my roommates.我的“非賣品”是一摞筆記本。這并不是我在課堂上做的筆記，而是我和室友們共同寫就的美麗秘笈。

    Whether the tips are helpful or not， I can‘t help smiling when I think of the scenes behind them. It was fun when we mixed yogurt and fruit to make our personal brand of face masks.不管這些秘笈是否有用，但只要我回憶起當時的場景就會情不自禁笑出來。當時，我們把酸奶和水果混合后，制成了自創(chuàng)牌面膜，那真是太有趣了。

    We also bought two big cane armchairs. In the hot summer， we would turn on electric fans and enjoy relaxing moments in the chairs.我們還買了兩張大藤椅，每當盛夏來臨，我們便會打開電扇，躺在椅子上休息。

    Besides an electric fan， a folding desk for use in bed is also essential for dorm life. During exams， we took turns to buy meals for our fellow roommates. Those who were not on duty could remain in bed and study all day with their books propped up on their folding desk.除了電風扇，床上折疊桌也是必不可少的寢室生活用品。考試期間，我們輪流給室友帶飯，沒輪到的同學就可以整天待在床上，伏在折疊桌復習看書了。

    It‘s a pity that I cannot carry my armchair and desk back home. When I sold them， I told the buyers they were symbols of my happy dorm life.可惜的是，我不能把藤椅和折疊桌帶回家。當我把它們賣了的時候，我還告訴買家這些都是我快樂的宿舍生活的象征。

    Liu Sixia， 22， business， Beijing Foreign Studies University劉思霞（音譯），22歲，畢業(yè)于北京外國語大學商務專業(yè)。

    My “Not For Sale” items are the posters I made for my class and school clubs. And piles of books remind me of an unforgettable trip before graduation.我的“非賣品”是我為班級和學校社團制作的一些海報，以及讓我回憶起難忘的畢業(yè)旅行的書本。

    They remind me of my freedom to pursue my hobbies during college years， which may be difficult to do after I enter the workplace.它們讓我想起自己能在大學里自由追求個人喜好，而一旦步入工作崗位后，這些恐怕就很難實現了。

    Making posters was more than having fun. It deepened my friendship with my peers in class and in school clubs.制作海報不僅僅只是有趣，這也加深了我與同班同學以及社團朋友之間的友誼。

    My favorite poster is the one I made for my class. I took photos of all my classmates and talked to some of them for the first time.我最喜歡的海報是我為班級制作的那張。當時我給所有同學拍了照片，還第一次和其中一些同學說了話。

    I enjoyed reading books about volunteering and travel and I dreamed of going to the places mentioned in the books.我還喜歡閱讀有關志愿服務和旅行的書籍，我夢想自己能走遍書中提到過的地方。

    Before getting caught up in a full-time job， I realized my dream by taking a trip to India in April. My experience as a volunteer provided life-long lessons.在工作纏身之前，今年四月我實現了印度之旅的夢想。作為一名志愿者的經歷讓我受益終身
